-HIV causes AIDS and interferes with the body's ability to fight infections

Symptoms of HIV:
-Flu-like symptoms such as fever, sore throat, and fatigue can occur. Then the disease is usually asymptomatic until it progresses to AIDS

Symptoms of AIDS:
-Weight loss, fever or night sweats, fatigue, and recurrent infections

How it's spread:
-Transmitted through contact with infected blood, semen, and vaginal fluids.

-There's no cure, but you must keep up with Anti-Retroviral Regiments (ARVs), which can dramatically slow the disease's progress as well as prevent secondary infections

-HIV/AIDS is one of the world's most significant public health challenges, particularly in low- and middle-income countries
-As a result of recent advances in access to Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART). HIV-positive people now live longer and healthier lives
